GIFT NIFTY futures indicate a gap-down opening for Indian markets on Friday. The global markets continued to hit new record highs. The index continues to march ahead for the third consecutive session on Thursday.

The NIFTY50 index continued to march ahead on its third consecutive day, with little over 100 points on Thursday. Market participants cheered the positive breakthrough in the US-India trade talks. The Chief Economic Advisor to the Prime Minister indicated the removal of an extra 25% tariff by November. In addition, the positive global market cues could also influence Indian markets on Friday.

Nifty50_2025-09-19_07-54-49.png On the technical front, the index formed a hanging man candlestick pattern, indicating a reversal from the current positive momentum. However, experts believe, the index could face some resistance at the 25,600 levels.
niftysep19.png On the options data front, 25,500 calls continue to hold the highest open interest, indicating a strong resistance at these levels. On the downside, the 25,000 puts witnessed heavy open interest addition, indicating strong support on the downside.
