Indian markets are expected to open with a 160-point gap up on Thursday morning amid GST rate cuts announced on Wednesday night. The GST council accepted the two-tier GST rate mechanism of 5% 18% and 40% rates on certain luxury and sin goods items. The new rates are expected to boost the overall demand in the economy.
