NIFTY50 on Monday advanced with gains of over 90% after IT stocks took the lead. The earnings rally in tech stocks in the US boosted the sentiment for IT stocks. However, the index continued to face selling pressure near 25,000 levels which remains key psychological resistance level for the index. Tuesday’s cues remain week as the US notified additional 25% tariffs on India effective 12 AM from Aug 27.

Experts believe, the dowside for the index remains protected at 24,750 levels, any closing below this levels could aggravate the selling pressure on the index.
On the options data front, 25,000 levels continued to hold the highest open interest on the upside and downside. This indicates neutral outlook for the index for the coming monthly expiry on Aug 28. nifty26aug.png
