The NIFTY50 continued its consolidation as it corrected nearly 100 points on Tuesday. The index witnessed selling pressure at the higher levels as FIIs resumed back to selling Indian equities. GIFT NIFTY futures indicate a 100-point gap up for Indian markets amid positive global cues.

Nifty50_2025-08-13_07-34-04.png On the technical front, the index continues to trade near the crucial support zone of 24,500. The previous day’s bullish engulfing stands negated as the index closed nearly 100 points lower on Tuesday. Experts believe the index to continue its consolidation.
On the options data front, the 25,000 calls now hold the highest open interest, indicating a strong resistance on the higher side. Similarly, 24,000 puts hold the highest open interest on the downside, indicating a strong support for the current expiry. nifty13aug.png
