Infosys collaborates with E.ON; shares trade 1% lower

Shares of Infosys traded 1.1% lower on Tuesday at ₹1,563 apiece on the NSE amid a broader correction in the markets. However, shares are in focus on strategic collaboration with Europe’s largest energy companies.

Infosys has entered into a strategic collaboration with E.ON, one of Europe’s largest energy companies with business in energy networks, energy infrastructure solutions, and retail. This collaboration will help create an experience-led, data-driven, sustainability-focused digital workplace ecosystem, facilitating E.ON's transition to a full-stack digital energy company that will aim to realise business value through AI.

The collaboration will leverage Infosys Topaz, an AI-first offering using generative AI technologies, to modernise operations, enhance user value, and foster innovation through a product-centric, agile, and automated approach, while enforcing state-of-the-art security and compliance. E.ON and Infosys will implement a human-centric support model to give E.ON employees the choice, control and convenience to become more efficient and to enable even faster business innovation.

The March 2025 quarter revenue stood at ₹34136 crore, up 6.67% as compared to ₹32001 crore during the corresponding quarter last year. Net profit declined by 21.84% to ₹6628 crore from ₹8480 crore. Operating profit for the quarter ended March 2025 decreased to ₹9702 crore as compared to ₹11198 crore of the corresponding quarter ended March 2024.

Earlier this month, Infosys Finacle, part of EdgeVerve Systems, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Infosys, entered into a strategic collaboration with Bank of Sydney (BoS).
