F&O gainers and losers on June 27: Adani Total, Jio Financial Services rise; AB Capital, Oberoi Realty fall

The Indian equity benchmarks began July futures and option series on positive note as SENSEX rose as much as 228 points and NIFTY50 index soared to an intraday high of 25,622 powered by gains in index heavyweights like Reliance Industries, ICICI Bank, Larsen & Toubro, State Bank of India and Power Grid. The gauge of 12 banking stocks on the National Stock Exchange, NIFTY Bank index, rose as much as 347 points from the day's lowest level to hit record high of 57,340.75.

On the index derivatives front, NIFTY 25,600 strike price call option, for expiry of July 3, was the most active call option contract with open interest of 1,21,473 contracts. On the other hand, NIFTY 25,500 strike price put option contract was the most active put option contract with an open interest of 1,34,541 contracts, data from the National Stock Exchange showed.

Among the Bank NIFTY option contracts, 57,000 strike price call option was the most active call option contract with an open interest of 23,267 contracts. On the flipside, 57,000 strike price put option contract was the most active put option contract with an open interest of 31,467 contracts.

Here are top movers in F&O space on Friday:

F&O gainers

Adani Total Gas: Shares of Adani Total Gas rose for second straight session and was the top gainer among the shares traded in the futures and option segment. The stock rose as much as 7.5% to hit an intraday high of ₹693.90 a day after it partnered with Jio-bp (operating brand of Reliance BP Mobility Ltd) to enhance quality fuel offerings. Premium on Adani Total Gas 690 strike price call option contract rose as much as 219% to hit an intraday high of ₹36.90 against its previous close of ₹11.55.

On the contrary, premium on 690 strike price put option contract plunged 58% to hit low of ₹28.55.

Mahanagar Gas: Shares of the city gas distribution company rose as much as 5% to hit an intraday high of ₹1,521. Premium on Mahanagar Gas 1,520 strike price call option contract more than doubled to ₹66.65 from its previous close of ₹30.35.

At the same time premium on 1,520 strike price put option contracts plunged 75% to ₹59 from its previous close of ₹238.

Jio Financial Services: Shares of billionaire Mukesh Ambani-backed non-banking finance company rose as much as 5.4% to hit an intraday high of ₹329.30 after market regulator SEBI gave approval to Jio BlackRock to start brokerage business. Premium on its 325 strike price call option contract surged 141% to ₹15.30 from its previous close of ₹6.35.

Meanwhile, Jio Financial Services 325 strike price put option contract slumped 47% to ₹8.90.

Top F&O losers

Oberoi Realty: Shares of the Mumbai-based real estate developer fell as much as 2.74% to hit an intraday low of ₹1,928. Premium on its 1,980 strike price put option contract rose 4.4% to ₹102.60. However, premium on its 1,980 strike price call option contract fell 18% to ₹47.60.
Aditya Birla Capital: Shares of the non-banking finance company fell as much as 2.69% to hit an intraday low of ₹269.35. Premium on its 275 strike price put option contracts rose as much as 39% to ₹12.05. On the flipside, premium on its 275 call option fell 32% to ₹7.80.
L&T Finance: Shares of the NBFC fell as much as 2.25% to hit an intraday low of ₹201. Premium on its 205 strike price put option contracts rose 30% to ₹10.15. On the other hand, premium on 205 call option fell 32% to ₹5.65.
