NIFTY50 bounced back from lower levels on Monday with Shriram Finance, Tata Consumers, and M&M among the top gainers. The global cues remain mixed for Tuesday as the US manufacturing sector shrinks at a faster pace. Following the development, the Dow Jones fell by over 300 points, while NASDAQ and S&P maintained their gains at a flat line. The GIFT NIFTY indicates a flat opening for Indian markets on Tuesday morning.

On the technical front, the index respected the crucial support zone of 25,700 levels and closed 41 points higher for the day. However, the index continues to remain in the consolidating range of 25,700 to 26,050, with 26,000 as the crucial resistance level. A weekly close above 26,000 could spur momentum in the markets for new record levels.

On the options data front, 25,700 puts witnessed a high open interest addition and held the highest open interest, indicating a strong support for today’s expiry. On the other hand, 26,000 calls continue to hold the highest open interest, indicating strong resistance.

Bullish outlook Traders with bullish sentiment can execute a long call strategy by buying 25,700 calls. The strategy would turn profitable after the index moves above 25,823.
Bearish outlook Traders with a bearish outlook can execute a long put strategy by buying a put strike of 25,800. The strategy would turn profitable after the index moves below the 25,727 level.
