Major stocks like Cupid, Emcure Pharmaceuticals, and Urban Company were included in the FTSE Emerging Markets All Cap Index.
Indian stocks like Urban Company, Cupid, Acme Solar Holdings, Emcure Pharmaceuticals, among several others, are in the focus of investors after the global index provider FTSE’s latest index rejig move effective from September 2026.
FTSE announced its latest index rejig, additions and exclusions, after the semi-annual review this month for September 2026. However, the index review changes may be subject to revision only until the close of business on Friday, September 4.
As per the official exchange filing on August 21, FTSE added a number of Indian stocks to its benchmark indices, including in the FTSE Emerging Markets All Cap Index, along with excluding certain stocks from its indices.
The changes will be effective after the close of business hours on Friday, September 18, 2026, which means the stocks will be included and trade under the specific index from Monday, September 21, 2026.
Major companies like ACME Solar Holdings, Cupid, Emcure Pharmaceuticals, and Urban Company were the recent additions to the FTSE Emerging Markets All Cap Index as part of the September 2026 index review.
Other stocks such as Anthem Biosciences, Apollo Micro Systems, Avalon Technologies, Pine Labs, Rubicon Research, S.J.S. Enterprises, SKF India (Industrial), and Thangamayil Jewellery were included in the index.
An index addition move is likely to trigger major fund inflows from global and domestic exchange-traded funds and passive funds which track the benchmark FTSE Emerging Markets All Cap Index as they rebalance their portfolio to match the index.
