Transrail Lighting shares gained as much as 17% to touch an intraday high of ₹483.70 apiece on Tuesday, September 22, as the firm expanded its conductor manufacturing capacity.

The EPC player in the Transmission & Distribution (T&D) sector in a regulatory filing said that it has completed phase 1 of the brownfield expansion for conductor manufacturing at the Silvassa location.

With this expansion the company’s conductor manufacturing capacity has increased from 24,000 km/annum to 40,800 km/annum. Transrail also said it is in the process of further enhancing its conductor capacity under phase 2 expansion, post which it will double its original capacity.

“This expansion marks a significant milestone in strengthening the company's conductor manufacturing capabilities which enhances its execution efficiencies and capacity to cater to growing markets,” said Randeep Narang, MD & CEO, Transrail Lighting.

In Q1 FY27, Transrail secured fresh orders worth ₹1,034 crore, along with additional L1 orders worth around ₹400 crore. This took its unexecuted order book to ₹16,035 crore as of June 30, 2026, providing long-term revenue visibility.

At 11:33 AM, Transrail Lighting shares were trading at ₹458.4 apiece on the National Stock Exchange, gaining 10.67%.

Over a month’s time, the stock has tanked 3%, while it has lost 5% in the past six months. From the beginning of the year, Transrail Lighting shares have tumbled over 17%.

The company has a market capitalisation of ₹6,176.45 crore.

Shares of the company had touched their one-year high of ₹800.90 apiece on September 22, 2025, while their 52-week low of ₹400.65 was hit on September 16, 2026.
