R R Kabel shares rally 10% to hit 52-week high as analysts flag strong growth outlook

R R Kabel shares rallied 10% to hit a 52-week high of ₹2,775 apiece on Tuesday, July 28, as the investors cheered the company’s performance in Q1 FY27.

The electrical cable making firm posted a 128% growth in its consolidated net profit at ₹205 crore for the first quarter of the current financial year (Q1 FY27) as compared to ₹90 crore logged during the same period last year.

The company’s revenue from operations increased 54% to ₹3,168 crore in the April-June quarter as against ₹2,059 crore seen in the year-ago period.

R R Kabel's operating profit, also known as earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortisation (EBITDA), surged 99% to ₹283 crore as compared to ₹142 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal year.

Its EBITDA margin expanded to 8.9% in the reporting quarter from 6.9% in Q1 FY26.

Segment updates

The firm’s wire and cables segment continued to outperform in the reporting quarter with revenue growth of 57% YoY, supported by robust volume growth, strong execution, and favourable industry dynamics. The segment reflected sustained demand momentum and operational strength.

Segment profit rose 105% yearly, driven by margin expansion and effective cost management. Margins expanded by 232 basis points year-on-year, aided by an improved product mix, disciplined commodity management, and operating efficiencies.

R R Kabel’s FMEG segment reported strong revenue growth in Q1 FY27, supported by continued demand for premium and new products across key categories, along with ongoing distribution expansion.

Commenting on the earnings, R R Kabel Managing Director Mahendrakumar Kabra said, “We have started FY27 on a strong note with another quarter of record performance, reflecting the strength of our business model and disciplined execution across the organization. Robust growth across our Wires & Cables business, coupled with healthy profitability, demonstrates our ability to capitalise on the strong demand environment while maintaining operational excellence.”

Kabra said that the company’s strategic focus on expanding its cables portfolio, strengthening distribution, and enhancing execution capabilities continues to deliver encouraging results.

He added that achieving operational breakeven in the FMEG business during the quarter marks an important milestone, reflecting progress in its premiumisation strategy and sustained efforts to improve operating efficiencies.

What analysts said

CLSA analysts in a note said that R R Kabel’s entrenched distribution network, strong influencer engagement, export leadership, and integrated manufacturing capabilities create differentiated competitive moats. They said these strengths are expected to support sustained growth and profitability, despite the potential risk from new entrants in the industry.

They further highlighted that Project RRise provides a clear roadmap for the company’s next phase of growth and profitability expansion. CLSA analysts expect R R Kabel to deliver a revenue and PAT CAGR of 18% and 24%, respectively, over FY26–30.
