The benchmark indices continued their lull session on Thursday after a steep fall on Wednesday. The NIFTY50 hovered around flat lines with a negative bias around the 23,430 level. The weakness persisted across the board, except for the smallcap 100 index, which traded with a positive bias across the board.

Despite the weakness, the index breadth was evenly balanced, with a little skewness towards declines as 26 stocks traded in the red, 22 in the green, and 2 stocks were largely unchanged in the NIFTY50 index.

Similarly, at the broader level, 283 stocks traded in the red and 215 in the green in the NIFTY 500 index, indicating weak investor participation and confidence in Thursday’s trading session.

However, a few stocks are showing resilience in the weak environment, soaring past key moving averages. Here are the top five stocks crossing 100 EMA levels on Thursday.

Phoenix Mills

Shares of Phoenix Mills, which manages, constructs, and operates leading malls in India, surged over 1% amid growing optimism ahead of the festive season. The shares found strong support near the 100-EMA levels of ₹1,886 apiece on the NSE. The shares have delivered 1.45% returns in 2026 on a YTD basis and over 21% returns on a twelve-month basis.

Exide Industries

Shares of Exide Industries jumped nearly 3% to hit an intraday high of ₹423 apiece on Thursday, also crossing its 100 EMA level of ₹413 apiece on the NSE. The shares have largely remained unchanged on a twelve-month basis, while soaring over 16% on a YTD basis in 2026. However, the shares trade nearly 17% lower from the 52-week high touched last month at ₹496 apiece.

Krishna Institute of Medical Sciences

Shares of south-based hospital chain jumped 1.7% on Thursday amid broader optimism around hospital stocks. The shares made an intraday high of ₹779 apiece, crossing its 100 EMA level of ₹774 apiece on the NSE. On a YTD basis, shares have delivered 25% returns, and 2.5% returns in the past twelve months.

Narayana Hrudayalaya

Narayana Hrudayalaya shares also soared nearly 1% on Thursday amid broader optimism around hospital stocks. The stock crossed its 100 EMA of ₹1,891 apiece as the shares made an intraday high of ₹1,915 apiece on the NSE on Thursday. On a YTD basis, the shares have delivered muted returns of -1% in 2026.

Ola Electric

Ola Electric share price surged over 6% on Thursday amid renewed optimism around electric vehicle makers like Ather Energy. Industry reports suggest growing optimism and demand for e-two-wheelers ahead of the festive season. Ola Electric shares crossed their 100 EMA level of ₹38.5 on the NSE, after hitting an intraday high of ₹40.5 apiece on the NSE.
