NCC Ltd secures order worth ₹1,286 crore from HGCL; shares tumble 26% year-to-date

NCC share price: Shares ofinfrastructure and construction conglomerate NCC Ltd are expected to be in the spotlight on Friday, October 9, as the company bagged an order worth ₹1,286.03 crore, excluding GST, from Hyderabad Growth Corridor Ltd (HGCL).

The company received a letter of acceptance for the construction of “Radial Road-2 from Outer Ring Road (ORR) near Budwel to Nacharam on NH-167N (Package-1 - Budwel to Shabad), Telangana.

The order has a construction period of 18 months, according to a regulatory filing dated October 8.

Recent updates

In a separate regulatory filing, the company said it secured a letter of award (LoA) from the government of Andhra Pradesh for the supply of fresh water.

Worth ₹1,076.71 crore (excluding GST), the order for supplying drinking water was bagged under the Multi Village Scheme on Yeleru Reservoir for Anakapalli Segment in Anakapalli District in Andhra Pradesh, according to a regulatory filing dated September 28.

Separately, in September 2026, the company won two other, totaling ₹500.22 crore.

The first order, pertaining to the buildings division, was worth ₹224.74 crore, and the second, related to the transportation division, was worth ₹275.48 crore.

NCC Q1 results

NCC reported a 12.6% year-on-year (YoY) surge in its consolidated net profit to ₹216.4 crore in the quarter ended June 30, 2026 (Q1 FY27), compared with ₹192.14 crore in the same period last year.

Its revenue from operations jumped 12.2% YoY to ₹5,812 crore for the quarter under review, as against ₹5,179 crore in the April-June quarter of the 2025-26 fiscal year (Q1 FY26).

NCC share performance

The stock of NCC Ltd closed 5.48% lower at its 52-week low price of ₹119.93 per equity share on the National Stock Exchange (NSE) on Thursday, October 8, as the NIFTY50 hit a year’s low. However, the development was announced after the market closed.

The scrip has fallen 8% in the past week and more than 19% over the month. On a year-to-date (YTD) basis, it has declined 26%. The shares hit a 52-week high of ₹217.25 per unit on November 3, 2025.

NCC Ltd has a total market capitalisation of ₹7,529.76 crore as of October 8, 2026, according to data on the NSE.
