Infosys share price: Shares of Infosys, the IT services major, were trading 0.82% higher at ₹1,190.90 apiece on the NSE in the early trade on Friday, May 22. The stock, along with other IT shares, witnessed a sharp rally recently, owing to a combination of factors, including the decline in the rupee, easing concerns around AI disruption, and value buying after the recent sharp correction in the sector.

Data show that Infosys shares have gained 5.59% over the past five sessions.

Latest updates to know

Analysts at CITI, in their latest research report, said that financial services as well as energy, utilities, and resources verticals are expected to witness year-on-year acceleration, although some macro-driven challenges persist across other segments. The investment firm also flagged softness in March due to delays in client decision-making, a trend that could continue into Q1 FY27.

However, CITI expects the first half of FY27 to be better than the second half. It also noted that Infosys is well-positioned to tap emerging AI-driven opportunities, with partnerships and investments already in place across six new AI-led value pools.

Infosys Q4 FY26 earnings

Infosys reported a 20.8% rise in consolidated net profit to ₹8,501 crore in the January-March quarter of FY26.

The Bengaluru-headquartered firm had posted a net profit of ₹7,033 crore in the same period of FY25.

The company's revenue from operations increased 13.4% to ₹46,402 crore in Q4 FY26 compared to ₹40,925 crore in the year-ago period.

In the full 2025-26 fiscal year, Infosys' net profit climbed 10.20% to ₹29,440 crore from ₹26,713 crore logged in 2024-25.

Its revenue from operations in FY26 rose 9.6% to ₹1,78,650 crore.

For FY27, Infosys has given a revenue growth forecast of 1.5% to 3.5% in constant currency.

"We delivered a resilient performance in FY26 with growth of 3.1%, with strong large deal wins of $14.9 billion, reflecting the robustness of our enterprise AI value proposition and market share gains in large transformation opportunities.

"The simplicity and strength of our AI services strategy across six areas is gaining traction in the market, further strengthened by strong ecosystem AI partnerships enabling clients to get value from AI," Infosys CEO and MD Salil Parekh said.

The company's total employee count stood at 3,28,594 at the end of Q4 FY26.

Infosys' chief financial officer (CFO) Jayesh Sanghrajka said the company plans to hire 20,000 freshers in FY27.
