India’s second-largest IT sector firm, Infosys, shares are set to remain in focus of investors on Thursday, September 16, as investors focus on the company’s latest Indore development centre expansion move to boost the company’s artificial intelligence (AI) and technological capabilities.
NSE filings showed that Infosys announced the expansion of its Development Centre (DC) with the inauguration of a new Software Development Block (SDB-2) at its campus in the Super Corridor, Indore.
The company also said that the new 330,000 sq. ft. block expansion aims to strengthen Infosys’ presence in Central India and its commitment to the region’s growing technology and talent ecosystem.
“The expanded centre will strengthen Infosys’ capabilities in cloud, application development, artificial intelligence and machine learning, and cybersecurity to address evolving client requirements,” Infosys informed the stock exchanges.
The company announced the latest expansion update after market operating hours on Wednesday, September 16.
“The expansion will enable us to leverage the region’s strong talent pool, strengthen our capabilities across AI, cloud, and digital technologies, and deliver greater value to our global clients,” said Jayesh Sanghrajka, Chief Financial Officer of Infosys.
Infosys’ board of directors announced on Tuesday evening that the IT company is set to announce its July to September quarter (Q2) results for the financial year 2026-27 on October 23, 2026.
“This is to inform you that a meeting of the board of directors of the company will be held on Thursday and Friday, October 22 and 23, 2026, inter alia, to approve and take on record the audited consolidated financial results of the company and its subsidiaries for the quarter and half year ending September 30, 2026,” as per the announcement.
The company also disclosed that the trading window for the key personnel will remain closed from September 16, 2026 and will reopen on October 26, 2026.
As per the official announcement, Infosys’ board of directors are set to consider and declare an interim dividend for the second quarter of FY27. If approved, the board will announce the same after the meeting on October 23.
After the Q2 earnings, Infosys will hold its conference call with analysts and shareholders on the same day to discuss the financial performance of the company.
NSE data showed that Infosys shares have lost more than 37% of their value in the last five years, 29% in the last three years, and more than 29% of their price in the last one-year period.
On a year-to-date (YTD) basis, the IT stock has declined 24.9% in 2026 and has dropped 9.3% in the past one-month period, as per the exchange data. However, Infosys shares have risen 2.4% in the last five market sessions on NSE.
Shares of Infosys surged to hit a 52-week high of ₹1,728 apiece on February 3, 2026, while the 52-week low was at ₹982.40 apiece on July 1, 2026.
The IT company’s market capitalisation (m-cap) was at more than ₹4.30 lakh crore as of the stock market close on Wednesday, September 16, 2026.
