The company’s consolidated net profit increased 110% to ₹166 crore in the first quarter for the financial year 2026-27 (Q1 FY27) as compared to ₹79 crore reported in the same period of the previous fiscal year.

The firm’s revenue from operations grew 39% to ₹1,782 crore in the June quarter, as against ₹1,278 crore registered in the year-ago period.

Galaxy Surfactants, in a statement, said that despite sharp feedstock price fluctuations and supply-chain disruptions linked to developments in West Asia, the firm leveraged its diversified product portfolio, agile supply chain, strong vendor relationships, and operational excellence. This enabled the company to deliver record quarterly profitability.

Its operating profit, also known as earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortisation (EBITDA), jumped to ₹249 crore as compared to ₹123 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal year.

The EBITDA margin expanded to 13.97% in the reporting quarter from 9.62% in Q1 FY26.

Galaxy Surfactants’ EBITDA per tonne increased to around ₹35,458/MT from around ₹20,009/MT annually, reflecting an improvement in profitability.

Its consolidated volumes grew in the mid-single digits YoY, while the India region returned to double-digit volume growth. The Specialty Care business also sustained its momentum across international markets.

The manufacturer of performance surfactants and specialty care products reported a strong recovery in the AMET region, although volumes declined by low single digits year-on-year due to geopolitical developments in West Asia.

“While we remain watchful of evolving geopolitical developments and their impact on global supply chains, we are encouraged by the recovery in customer demand, the strong momentum in Specialty Care and the continued strength of our India business,” said K. Natarajan, Managing Director, Galaxy Surfactants.
