The Indian equity benchmarks came off intraday lows in noon deals on Friday, September 11, owing to buying interest in index heavyweights like Infosys, Bharti Airtel, HCL Technologies, Tech Mahindra and Eternal.

As of 12:07 pm, the SENSEX was down 361 points at 74,541 and NIFTY50 index declined 128 points to 23,350. Earlier in the session, SENSEX fell as much as 742 points and NIFTY50 index touched an intraday low of 23,231 as crude oil moved above $110 per barrel.

Here are shares surging amid spike in trading activity:
Authum Investment: Shares of the non-banking finance company rose as much as 8.83% in an otherwise weak session to an intraday high of ₹557.60 amid spike in volumes.

Trading volume on the National Stock Exchange (NSE) jumped by 38 times to 45.46 lakh shares compared with an average volume of 1.18 lakh shares.

As many as 2.97 lakh shares changed hands on the BSE compared with an average of 1.7 lakh shares traded daily in the past two weeks.

Sun TV Network: Shares of the Chennai-based TV broadcasting company advanced as much as 6.66% to an intraday high of ₹485.65 amid spike in treading activity.

Trading volume on the NSE jumped by 5.7 times to 24.69 lakh shares compared with an average volume of 4.36 lakh shares.

A total of 1.08 lakh shares were traded on BSE compared with its two-week average of 26,000 shares.

Indus Towers: Shares of the telecom infrastructure developer advanced as much as 4.27% to an intraday high of ₹389 after the company informed exchanges that it will be hosting Eastspring Investments and T. Rowe Price for an investor conference.

Trading volume on the NSE jumped 4.2 times to 1.21 crore shares compared with an average volume of 29.27 lakh shares.

As many as 5.2 lakh shares changed hands on the BSE compared with an average of 1.12 lakh shares traded daily in the past two weeks.

Pine Labs: Shares of the financial technology company advanced as much as 10.8% to an intraday high of ₹191.80 amid spike trading activity.

Trading volume on the NSE jumped 3.8 times to 11.57 crore shares compared with an average volume of 3.05 crore shares.

On the BSE, 68 lakh shares changed hands compared with an average of 15 lakh shares traded daily in the past two weeks.

Five-Star Business Finance: Shares of the NBFC advanced 5% to an intraday high of ₹557.

Trading volume on the NSE jumped by 3.3 times to 12.55 lakh shares compared with an average volume of 3.8 lakh shares.
