NSE data showed that Ather Energy's share price jumped 3.8% to touch an intraday and 52-week high of ₹1,679 apiece on Monday’s market, in comparison to ₹1,616.30 apiece at the previous equity market close.

As of 10:08 am (IST), the company shares were trading 2.3% higher at ₹1,657 apiece during the trading session on August 31.

Media reports suggest that Ather Energy has invested more than ₹400 to 500 crore in developing its latest scooter platform EL and the company’s first mass-market e-scooter, Konarc.

Why are Ather shares rising today?

Ather Energy shares were trading higher on Monday’s market, as investors reacted to a series of launches including the Bedrock battery pack, the mass-market e-scooter Konarc, higher range options for existing product lines, and several new features.

On Saturday, August 29, Ather launched its new EV scooter named Konarc at a price of ₹99,999 ex-showroom in Bengaluru, in an effort to target a larger audience base in an effort to attract more customers amid elevated competition in the market.

The company has launched the vehicle in three variants, namely, S100, S125 and S160, with plans to deliver the S125 and S160 variants starting from mid-September 2026.

“The Konarc S 100 km is priced at ₹99,999, the Konarc S 125 km at ₹1,21,999, and the Konarc S 161 km at ₹1,44,999, effective ex-showroom Bengaluru,” the company said in its filing.

The company also informed the exchanges that the deliveries of Konarc will begin in a phased manner across selected variants in select cities before the company decides to ramp up the supply across India.

“Konarc has been designed to make EVs mainstream in India. We have understood the needs of the vast majority of buyers who are still waiting to go electric and have engineered Konarc for them,” Tarun Mehta, Co-Founder & CEO of Ather Energy.

What do analysts predict?

Experts from the Japanese investment major, Nomura, said that Ather Energy’s new launch, along with its technological improvements, is expected to further power the growth visibility in the upcoming period.

“We believe improved scale should lead to co turning EBITDA & PAT positive by FY28F; potential entry into motorcycles offers further long-term optionality. We view that electrification is at an inflexion point in India & Ather remains one of best long-term plays in 2W segment,” said Nomura analysts.

The experts also predict that the policy support and inclusion of Ather in the PLI scheme remain as key upside risks.

In line with the estimates, JP Morgan analysts said that Ather’s entry into the mass EV segment and the Bedrock battery are estimated to solve battery life and safety concerns in the market.

Ather’s 10-year battery pack

Ather also launched its new fifth-generation Bedrock battery pack, which introduces a 10-year or 1,00,000-kilometre warranty, guaranteeing a minimum 70% state of battery health at the end of the coverage period.

“It also covers battery failures and defects, including periods when the scooter is not in use, giving riders greater confidence in long-term battery ownership. Sales of the 10-year battery warranty will begin soon,” the company said in its official release.

The new Konarc e-scooter will also feature this new Bedrock battery pack.

The company also launched several key features like Advanced Electronic Braking System, MagicKey, AutoPop and AirWalk in its new offerings and IDC range options of up to 200 km, with six variants across the S and Z product lines.

266% returns in one-year

Ather Energy shares have delivered more than 266% returns to their investors in the last one-year period and have given 123% returns on their investments on a year-to-date (YTD) basis in 2026, according to NSE data.

In the last one-month period, the EV company’s stock has surged 30% and has been trading 13.5% higher in the last five market sessions, according to the exchange data.

While the shares of Ather Energy hit their 52-week high on Monday’s market, the 52-week low was at ₹421.60 apiece on August 28, 2025.

The company’s market capitalisation (m-cap) was at ₹66,069 crore as of the trading session on Monday, August 31, 2026.
