Ashoka Buildcon on Friday, October 9, said the company has received a Letter of Acceptance (LoA) from North Eastern Railway for a new project.

The order involves the design, supply, erection, testing and commissioning of traction substations and associated switching posts for the 2x25 kV autotransformer (AT) traction feeding system in the Gorakhpur Cantt–Chhapra Gramin section of the Northeastern Railway’s Varanasi Division.

The project is aimed at upgrading electric traction power supply installations and will be executed on an Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) basis.

In a regulatory filing, Dilip Buildcon said the contract will be executed on an engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) basis. The contract includes a performance bank guarantee (PBG) of 5% of the contract price and a defect liability period of two years.

Worth ₹290.23 crore, the project is expected to be completed within 24 months from the date of commencement.

Ashoka Buildcon Q1 FY27 earnings

Ashoka Buildcon’s consolidated net profit dropped 41% to ₹128 crore in the first quarter for the financial year 2026-27 (Q1 FY27), as compared to ₹217 crore reported in the same period of the previous fiscal year.

The company's revenue from operations had decreased 21% on a year-on-year (YoY) basis to ₹1,500 crore in the April to June quarter as against ₹1,887 crore seen in Q1 FY26.

Its operating profit, also known as earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortisation (EBITDA), declined 57% to ₹258 crore as against ₹598 crore in the corresponding period last year.

Its EBITDA margin contracted to 17.18% in contrast to 31.69% in the year-ago period.

The company’s consolidated debt by the end of the quarter was seen at ₹2,773 crore. By the end of June 30, 2026, Ashoka Buildcon’s total order book stood at ₹15,251 crore.

Ashoka Buildcon share price trends

On Friday, Ashoka Buildcon shares closed at ₹102.02 apiece on the National Stock Exchange, rising 0.61%.

From the beginning of the year, Ashoka Buildcon shares have declined 39%. Over a month’s time, the stock has lost 10%, while for a six-month period, it has tanked 16%.

Shares of the firm had hit a 52-week high of ₹214.50 on November 4, 2025, and a 52-week low of ₹100.31 on October 9, 2026.

According to NSE data, as of October 9, 2026, Ashoka Buildcon has a total market capitalisation of ₹2,863.94 crore.
