Apex Frozen Food shares zoom 19% after Q1FY27 net profit jumps 140% YoY

Shares of Apex Frozen Food jumped over 17% on Friday after the company announced robust quarterly earnings growth on Thursday. The shares made an intraday high of ₹433 apiece on the NSE, soaring nearly 17% from the previous day’s close.

The company’s revenue for the quarter largely remained unchanged at ₹256 crore for Q1FY27 as compared to ₹258 crore in the same period last year. However, on a sequential basis, the revenue jumped 52.8% QoQ from ₹167.8 crore in the previous quarter.

The revenue from operations includes export benefit of ₹12.8 crore for the quarter ended June 2026 (April-June 2026), ₹9.1 crore for the quarter ended March 2026 (January-March 2026), ₹13.6 crore for the quarter ended June, 2025 (April-June 2025), ₹49.2 crore for the year ended March 2026 (April - March 2026).

On the operational front, the company’s operating EBITDA (Earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation) nearly doubled to ₹31 crore as compared to ₹16 crore in the same period last year. On a sequential basis, the EBITDA jumped over 140% from ₹13 crore in Q4FY26.

The operating margins (EBITDA margin) doubled from 6% in Q1FY26 to 12% in Q1FY7. Favourable inventory gains during the quarter of ₹28.5 crore boosted the overall operating performance of the company.

Similarly, the profit after tax also grew by nearly 137% YoY for the quarter to ₹21 crore as compared to ₹9.09 crore in the same period last year.
