Zen Technologies on Thursday said it has secured an order of ₹152 crore from the defence ministry for an Integrated Air Defence Combat Simulator.

The order is related to the supply of Integrated Air Defence Combat Simulator (IADCS) for L70 Gun, a regulatory company filing dated March 27 said. The contract has to be executed within 18 months.

“Zen Technologies Limited, India's leading anti-drone technology and Defence training solutions provider is pleased to announce that it has been awarded an order valued at approximately ₹152 crore (inclusive of taxes) by the Ministry of Defence, Government of India. The order is for the supply of Zen’s state-of-the-art Integrated Air Defence Combat Simulator (IADCS) for the L70 Gun, further reinforcing the country’s pursuit of technological self-reliance in the defence sector,” the company said in a release on Thursday.

The IADCS is a virtual simulation system aimed at providing efficient and comprehensive training for air defence operations, the release said. It will be developed through Zen's internal R&D efforts under the Make II category and depicts the company’s commitment to building technologies that have strategic value for the armed forces, it added.

The Zen IADCS improves the “operator readiness and unit-level coordination through hyper-realistic virtual environments that replicate real-world scenarios, thereby reducing the need for costly and logistically complex live training exercises,” the release stated, adding that IADCS is scalable, adaptable and offers long-term operational and economic benefits.

Zen Technologies shares

Zen Technologies shares on Thursday, March 27, settled 2.29% up at ₹1,475.95 apiece on the NSE after announcing the win. The stock hit its 52-week high of ₹2,627.00 per share on December 24, while it touched its 52-week low of ₹882 apiece on March 27, 2024. Its market capitalisation stands at ₹13,326.41 crore.

Zen Tech Q3 FY25 results

The defence company posted a net profit of ₹38.62 crore in the third quarter of the current fiscal year (Q3 FY25), down 40.8% as compared to ₹65.24 crore recorded in Q2 FY25. Its revenue from operations plunged 41.4% quarter-on-quarter (QoQ) as against ₹141.52 crore in the December quarter. As of December 31, 2024, the company’s total order book was at ₹816.91 crore.
