The special 1-hour trading session has been scheduled for Sunday afternoon, November 8, when investors will trade as part of a long-standing ritual to pay respect to the Goddess Lakshmi ahead of Diwali celebrations in the evening.

As per the official NSE circular, the special trading session will take place from 2:20 pm to 3:30 pm Indian Standard Time (IST) for regular investors.

Experts believe that the upcoming Samvat 2083 trading year will hold a cautiously optimistic outlook, where investors will be able to focus and create long-term investment opportunities in the market if they adopt stock-specific action amid the overall market volatility.

Key focus will remain on the sectors that attract token buying, and since the Muhurat money goes where investors already feel safe, experts predict that this map is a free read on positioning in the market.

Muhurat Trading 2026 – Full schedule

NSE circular showed that both BSE and NSE will start the pre-open session at 2:05 pm (IST) and, after a period of 15 mins, the market will be open for a regular trading session from 2:20 pm on Sunday.

CAS order matching and trade confirmation period will be between 3:30 pm and 3:35 pm (IST), and the CAS transition period will be between 3:35 pm and 3:50 pm (IST), as per the official data.

The post-close session will be conducted between 3:50 pm and 4:00 pm on Sunday, November 8. But the normal market closing time for non-CAS stocks will be at 3:30 pm.
