The firm stated that the MPCDS system, which is entirely made in India, is compact, portable, and operates on both battery and mains power. It covers multiple frequency spectrums, including command and control and navigation. The system holds the ability to detect and jam a wide variety of drones within a range of up to 5 kilometres, the company explained.
Arun Krishnamurthi, CEO and managing director of Axiscades, said this is the first counter-drone system being inducted into the Indian Defence Forces in the man-portable category. “We continue to innovate and provide advanced security solutions to meet the evolving needs of our armed forces and make India self-reliant in defence engineering ecosystem,” he said.
Axiscades Technologies explained the Indian Ministry of Defence and Defence Forces have outlined plans to enhance their counter unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) capabilities through multiple tenders, including emergency procurements, with an estimated addressable opportunity of ₹3,000 crore within India alone over the next five years. “Axiscades remains a key player at the forefront of this initiative, with the company strengthening its counter-unmanned aerial vehicle (C-UAV) offerings with integrated sensors and neutralisation options, solidifying its position to capture both domestic and global market opportunities,” the firm said.

Shares of the company have lost over 23% since the beginning of the year. The stock has gained nearly 32% in the last one year.
