The initial public offering of China's humanoid robot maker listed at 1,100 yuan on the STAR Market Index, reflecting an increase of 629.44% above its offer price of 150.8 yuan.

The company raised 6.1 billion yuan ($904 million) as it offered 40.4 million shares in the IPO. The company will use money raised for artificial intelligence model development, a new products programme, humanoid robot research and manufacturing expansion projects.

The company allotted close to 20% of the offer to strategic investors, including DeepSeek, a Tencent Holdings-affiliated investment vehicle, and investment vehicles of China Southern Power Grid Co, China Telecom Corp and China National Petroleum Corp.

According to the prospectus, Unitree's IPO values the firm at 35.89 times sales.

The robots of the Hangzhou-based manufacturer are popular for performing a full range of motions, including dance and backflipping. In February, the firm's G1 robots performed martial arts and showed a full range of motions live on stage during China's Spring Festival Gala.

On Monday, Unitree unveiled "Superhuman", a new humanoid robot capable of jumping two metres from a standing position and sprinting at speeds up to 12.66 metres per second.
