The basis of allotment for Milky Mist Dairy Food Ltd is expected to be finalised on Friday, August 14. The bid finalisation details will be out on the websites of the National Stock Exchange (NSE), the BSE (formerly Bombay Stock Exchange) and KFin Technologies.

The initial public offering of the packaged food company was subscribed 56.12 times, as it mobilised bids for 4,59,04,22,836 shares compared to 8,17,98,244 shares on offer, according to the BSE data.

The quota for qualified institutional buyers (QIBs) was subscribed 155.83 times, as they applied for 3,63,45,17,685 against 2,33,23,308 shares reserved.

The non-institutional investors subscribed their portion 34.91 times, with bids for 61,07,43,267 shares vs 1,74,92,481 shares reserved.

The retail individual investors placed bids for 34,30,90,685 shares compared to 4,08,15,789 shares on offer, leading to an 8.41 times subscription.

The ₹1,553 crore IPO comprised a fresh issue of ₹1,428 crore as well as an offer-for-sale (OFS) component of up to ₹125 crore by the company's promoters, Anitha S and Sathishkumar T.

Proceeds from the fresh issue will be deployed for debt clearance, expansion and modernisation of the manufacturing unit and strengthening its cold-chain infrastructure.

The IPO proceeds will also be used for setting up whey protein concentrate, yoghurt and cream cheese plants, apart from installing ice cream freezers and chocolate coolers. The remaining funds will also be utilised for general corporate purposes.

Founded in Tamil Nadu, Milky Mist is a packaged-food company focused on value-added dairy products like paneer, curd, yoghurt, cheese, butter, ice cream and ghee, among others.
