Shares of transformer maker Kanohar Electricals Ltd made a tepid listing on the stock exchanges on Wednesday, September 16.

The stock debuted at ₹685.50 per share, reflecting an increase of 8.47% from the IPO issue price of ₹632 a unit.

On the BSE, the scrip started trading at ₹672.05 apiece, up 6.34% from the issue price.

Kanohar Electricals share price: Here's how much investors made per lot

A lot consisted of 23 shares and cost ₹14,536. Investors who received the Kanohar Electricals IPO allotment made ₹1,230.50 per lot, taking the value of their investment to ₹15,766.50, as per the listing price on the NSE.

The ₹1,055.74 crore initial share sale was a fresh issuance of ₹300 crore and an offer-for-sale component of ₹755.74 crore by promoter K Sons Family Trust.

The objectives of the issue include capital expenditure needs, incremental working capital requirements, and general corporate purposes.

"Our company expects to achieve the benefits of listing of its equity shares on the stock exchanges, including enhancement of our company’s brand name and creating a public market for our equity shares in India," the firm said.

The initial public offering was subscribed 90.59 times, as it got bids for 1,05,92,88,506 shares compared to 1,16,93,326 shares on offer, as per the NSE data.
