Shares of independent renewable energy power producer Juniper Green Energy started trading at ₹245 per unit on the National Stock Exchange (NSE) on Thursday, August 6. This reflects a premium of 8.89% over the IPO issue price of ₹225 apiece.

On the BSE, the stock debuted at ₹242 per equity share, up 7.56% from the issue price.

Juniper Green Energy share price: Here's how much investors made per lot

A lot consisted of 66 shares and cost ₹14,850. Investors who received Juniper Green Energy IPO allotment made ₹1,320 per lot, taking the value of their investment to ₹16,170, as per the listing price on the NSE.

The initial share sale was subscribed 7.97 times, with bids for 46,96,00,758 shares versus 5,89,16,709 shares on offer, according to the NSE data.

The IPO was solely a fresh issuance of equity shares aggregating to ₹1,800 crore, with no offer for sale (OFS) component.

The money generated will be used to repay borrowings availed by the firm and its material subsidiaries and for corporate general purposes.

"We expect to achieve the benefit of listing of the equity shares on the Stock Exchanges, enhancement of our company’s visibility and brand name amongst our existing and potential customers and creation of a public market for the equity shares in India," Juniper Green Energy said in its red herring prospectus (RHP).

Before the IPO, the company collected ₹539.4 crore from anchor investors, including Nippon India Mutual Fund, Abu Dhabi Investment Authority, ICICI Prudential Mutual Fund, SBI Mutual Fund, WhiteOak Capital, Tata AIG General Insurance Company, Bajaj Life Insurance and HDFC Life Insurance Company.
