IPO Weekly Roundup: NSE, Hero Motors, Jindal Supreme, other keep primary market busy

The primary market witnessed another busy week ending September 18 with main-board initial public offerings (IPO), which included firms like the National Stock Exchange, Hero Motors, Jindal Supreme India and others opening for subscription.

The holiday-shortened week saw at least 11 IPOs open for subscriptions that included five mainboard and six SME issues.

SME issues that remained in focus included Vama Wovenfab, Shakti Polytarp, Quanto Agroworld, SpectraA Technology Solutions, Kheria Autocomp and Axiom Gas Engineering.

Here are all the mainboard IPO updates from this week

National Stock Exchange: One of the most awaited issues of the year opened for subscription on September 17. NSE’s ₹22,561.57 crore IPO was fully subscribed on the second day of bidding. It received bids for 10.28 crore shares compared to 8.86 crore shares on offer on Friday.

NSE is India's largest stock exchange and among the leading multi-asset exchange platforms in the world.

Hero Motors: The IPO witnessed steady demand and ended with a subscription of 6.66 times on Friday. The initial share sale of the firm received bids for 58.97 crore shares, received bids for 58.97 crore shares as compared to 8.86 crore shares on offer.

The ₹1,000 crore IPO is a book-building issue, comprising a fresh issue of ₹600 crore and an offer for sale of ₹400 crore.

Jindal Supreme (India): The issue ended with a total of 181.07x bookings. Its initial share sale of the firm had received bids for 170.20 crore shares as compared to 93,99,600 shares on offer, as per exchange data.

The ₹125 crore IPO includes an offer for sale and a fresh issue. It is a book-building issue, comprising an offer for sale of ₹25 crore and a fresh issue of ₹100 crore. The minimum lot size for an application is 161 shares.

Sonaselection India: The issue that opened on September 17 garnered a total booking of 0.9% by the end of the second day. Till Friday, the initial share sale of the company has received bids for 90,52,200 shares as compared to 1,00,10,000 shares on offer.

The ₹142 crore IPO is a complete fresh issue with a price band set between ₹94 and ₹99 per share. 

SS Retail: The ₹500 crore book build issue was a combination of the fresh issuance of 85.08 lakh shares totalling ₹360 crore and the OFS of 33.02 lakh shares valued at ₹140 crore.

The mobile phone and accessories retailer’s ₹500 crore IPO ended with 103.30 times of subscription. It received bids for 90.84 crore shares compared to 87,93,884 shares on offer, according to the NSE data.
