Shares of auto components maker Dhoot Transmission Ltd made a robust listing on the stock exchanges on Monday, August 17.

The stock debuted at ₹1,200 apiece on the National Stock Exchange (NSE), reflecting a premium of 37.77% over the IPO issue price of ₹871 per share.

On the BSE, it started trading at ₹1,193.80 apiece, up 37.06% from the issue price.

Dhoot Transmission share price: Here's how much investors made per lot

A lot consisted of 17 shares and cost ₹14,807. Investors who received Dhoot Transmission IPO allotment made ₹20,400 per lot, taking the value of their investment to ₹5,593, as per the listing price on the NSE.

The ₹3,066.89 crore initial public offering was a combination of new shares valued at ₹1,400 crore and an offer for sale component of ₹1,666.89 crore by the company's promoters BC Asia Investments XV and Mangalam Capital Pvt Ltd.

The fresh issue proceeds will be utilised for debt clearance of the firm and its subsidiaries, establishing a new wiring harness manufacturing unit, funding inorganic growth via acquisitions and corporate general purposes.

The initial share sale was subscribed 74.21 times, as it attracted bids for 1,85,19,71,585 shares compared to 2,49,56,363 shares on offer, as per the NSE data.

The quota reserved for qualified institutional buyers (QIBs) was subscribed 212.92 times, while the non-institutional investors' (NIIs) portion was booked 51.93 times. The part for retail investors was booked 8.12 times.

Prior to the IPO, the company mobilised ₹918.3 crore from anchor investors, including SBI Mutual Fund (MF), HDFC MF, BlackRock, Abu Dhabi Investment Authority, ICICI Prudential MF, WhiteOak, Mirae Asset, Amundi Funds, Allianz Global Investors, Axis MF, Government Pension Fund, ICICI Prudential Life Insurance, HDFC Life Insurance, SBI Life Insurance and Axis Max Life Insurance.

Aurangabad-headquartered Dhoot Transmission makes products like electronic sensors and controllers, automotive switches, wiring harnesses, cables, connectors, power cords and terminals.
