Borana Weaves IPO

The initial public offering (IPO) of Borana Weaves got subscribed a huge 148.77 times on the closing day of bidding on Thursday, May 22.

Surat-based Borana Weaves shares will debut on the stock exchanges on Tuesday, May 27. According to NSE data, the ₹144.89-crore initial share sale received bids for 54,88,84,443 shares against 36,89,457 shares on offer.

Shares of Borana Weaves will be available for trading from 10:00 AM on both the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) and the National Stock Exchange (NSE).

“Trading Members of the Exchange are hereby informed that effective from Tuesday, May 27, 2025, the equity shares of BORANA WEAVES LIMITED shall be listed and admitted to dealings on the Exchange in the list of ‘T’ Group of Securities,” a BSE notice said.

The initial public offering (IPO) of Borana Weaves got subscribed a huge 148.77 times on the closing day of bidding on Thursday, May 22.

The category for non-institutional investors (NII) fetched a whopping 237.41 times subscription, while the quota for retail individual investors received 200.50 times subscription. The portion for qualified institutional buyers (QIB) got subscribed to 87.21 times.

The IPO of up to 67,08,000 equity shares has a price range of ₹205-216 per share. Beeline Capital Advisors is the bookrunning lead manager to the offer.

Borana Weaves had reserved 75% of shares in the IPO for large investors like banks, mutual funds and foreign institutional investors, which fall under the category of QIBs; 10% of shares in the IPO are set aside for the retail investors and 15% are reserved for non-institutional investors.

The company will use the proceeds from the IPO to finance the cost of establishing a new manufacturing unit to expand its production capabilities, fund incremental working capital requirements and for general corporate purposes.

Borana Weaves Limited is a manufacturer of unbleached synthetic grey fabric based in Surat, Gujarat. The company's unbleached synthetic grey fabric is often widely used as a base for further processing (including dyeing and printing) in industries such as fashion, traditional textiles, technical textiles, home decor, interior design, etc.
