The initial public offering (IPO) of Active Infrastructures Ltd opened to weak demand on Friday, March 21. The NSE SME issue was booked only 20% on the first day of bidding.

The civil construction company aims to raise ₹77.83 crore from the primary market through its initial share sale. The issue will close for bidding on Tuesday, March 25.

At the end of bidding at 5 pm on Day 1, the IPO attracted bids for over 7.62 lakh shares against 38.39 lakh shares on offer.

The Qualified Institutional Buyers (QIBs) quota was fully booked with bids for 1.63 lakh shares compared to an equal number of shares set aside for the category.

The retail investors subscribed only 16% of their quota with bids for over 3.45 lakh shares against 20.42 lakh shares reserved for the category. The non-institutional investors (NIIs) segment was subscribed 15%. The NIIs applied for 2.52 lakh shares against 16.33 lakh shares on offer.

Active Infrastructures raise ₹4.43 crore from anchor investors

Ahead of the launch of its IPO, Active Infrastructures raised a total of ₹4.43 crore from anchor investors. Its anchor bid date was March 20, 2025.

According to the circular on the NSE, the company allotted 2.44 lakh shares to two anchor investors at an issue price of ₹181 per equity share. Bridge India Fund and Multitude Growth Funds Ltd are the two anchor investors of the IPO, securing anchor investor portions of 50% each.

Active Infrastructures IPO comprises exclusively a fresh issue of over 43 lakh shares, aggregating to ₹77.83 crore. The issue does not consist of any offer-for-sale (OFS) component.

The company has fixed the price band at ₹178 to ₹181 per share for the IPO, with a face value of ₹5 each. The minimum lot size is 600 shares.

Kreo Capital Private Ltd is the book-running lead manager of the Active Infrastructures IPO, while Bigshare Services Private Ltd is the registrar for the issue. The market maker for the IPO is Badjate Stock And Shares Pvt Ltd.

Active Infrastructures IPO key dates

The IPO allotment status is expected to be finalised on Wednesday, March 26. Refunds will be issued on Thursday, March 27, and the allottees will also receive shares in the Demat accounts on the same day.

The company has proposed to list shares on the NSE on Friday, March 28.

About Active Infrastructures and use of IPO proceeds

Active Infrastructures operates in two key segments— infrastructure and construction of commercial projects. The infrastructure division of the company focuses on the construction of roads, flyovers, irrigation projects and water supply systems. In the commercial projects segment, it builds office complexes, exhibition halls, retail centres, private educational institutions and retail outlets.

The company has a presence in states like Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh and Tripura, while its operations span across the country.

The company intends to utilise the proceeds generated from the fresh issue to fund its working capital requirements, repay debt and margin money for obtaining a bank guarantee, capital expenditure for purchasing construction equipment, corporate general purposes and meet the company’s issue expenses.

Active Infrastructures key financials

The company reported revenue from operations of ₹33.67 crore for the half year ended on September 30, 2024. The profit after tax (PAT) was recorded at ₹5.55 crore during the same period.

For the financial year ended March 31, 2024, Active Infrastructures’s revenue from operations was reported at ₹97.18 crore compared to ₹89.39 crore in the preceding fiscal year (FY23). Profit after tax for FY24 was ₹10.44 crore compared to ₹9.86 crore in FY23.
