Voltas on Wednesday posted a 107.76% year-on-year (YoY) jump in its consolidated net profit for the fourth quarter of the fiscal year 2024-25 (Q4 FY25) to ₹241 crore against ₹116 crore reported in the year-ago period.

Revenue from operations of the home appliances maker was at ₹4,767 crore in Q4 FY25, up 13.42% compared to ₹4,203 crore in Q4 FY24. Its total income was up by 14% in Q4 FY25 at ₹4,847 crore against ₹4,257 crore in the year-ago quarter.

The company’s earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortisation (EBITDA) jumped 74.6% YoY to ₹332.8 crore in the reporting quarter from ₹191 crore in the same period last year. Its operating margin was at 7% in Q4 FY25 against 4.5% in Q4 FY24.

Voltas' board recommended a final dividend of ₹7 per equity share with a face value of ₹1 each for the financial year 2024-25.

While the company reported a strong year-over-year performance, it missed the street expectations.

The Tata Group company’s Unitary Cooling Products business continued to maintain its growth momentum, and its revenue increased to ₹892 crore in the reporting quarter against ₹693 crore in the previous year, the company said in a release.

"Overall, volume growth for the year ended was recorded at 36%, with growth in certain allied categories, like air coolers. Voltas remains the market leader in both split and window air-conditioners," the press release read.

Revenue from the electro-mechanical projects and services segment jumped 13% to ₹4,157 crore in FY25, compared to ₹3,683 crore in FY24.

“For the year ended March 2025, segment revenue increased by 13%, reaching ₹4,157 crore, compared to ₹3,683 crore in the same period last year. The segment result was a positive ₹169 crore, a significant turnaround from a loss of ₹328 crore last year. For the quarter, segment revenue was ₹1,138 crore, compared to ₹1,098 crore in the same quarter last year. Losses have reduced from ₹108 crore to ₹2 crore mainly due to improved order booking, better project execution and working capital management,” the release stated.
