Vedanta Aluminium Metal’s board of directors on Thursday, July 30, announced the company’s April to June quarter results for the financial year 2026-27, where the firm recorded a strong Q1 performance due to overall revenue and margin growth.

NSE data showed that Vedanta Aluminium Metal’s consolidated net profit (attributable to owners) skyrocketed 216% to ₹5,629 crore in the first quarter of the current fiscal year, compared year-on-year (YoY) with ₹1,781 crore in the same period a year earlier.

The aluminium producer’s revenue from core operations advanced 46% YoY to ₹21,393 crore in the June quarter, from ₹14,654 crore in the same period a year earlier, as per the exchange filings.

Vedanta Aluminium shares rallied 3.3% to their intraday high of ₹454.45 apiece on Thursday’s market, compared to ₹439.60 apiece at the previous equity market close, as per the NSE data.

After the intraday high, the company shares were trading 2.5% higher at ₹451.05 apiece on July 30, as per the exchange data.

Healthy margin growth

NSE filings data showed that Vedanta Aluminium’s operational-level earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) recorded 135% growth to ₹10,299 crore in the first quarter of FY27, compared to ₹4,386 crore a year earlier.

The company’s EBITDA margins expanded to 48.14% in the June quarter of the financial year 2026-27, from 29.93% in the corresponding quarter of the previous financial year, as per the consolidated statements.

Vedanta Aluminium’s Q1 earnings also showed that the company’s operating profit margin expanded to 45% in the June quarter, from 26% in the same period a year earlier.

While the company’s net profit margin expanded to 31% in the first quarter, in comparison to 15% in the same period a year earlier.

Did Vedanta Aluminium announce a dividend issue?

Vedanta Aluminium’s board of directors, after their quarterly meeting on Thursday, July 30, declared a ₹8 per share interim dividend issue for all eligible shareholders, according to the exchange filing.

“The board has considered and approved the first interim dividend of ₹8 per equity share on face value of ₹1 per equity share for the financial year 2026-27 amounting to ₹3,128.55 crore,” the company informed the stock exchanges.

This means every eligible shareholder will be entitled to the ₹8 per share dividend payment up to one day ahead of the official record date of the corporate action. Vedanta Aluminium fixed the record date to be Wednesday, August 5, 2026, to determine the eligibility of shareholders.

Vedanta Aluminium share performance

Vedanta Aluminium shares have lost around 9% on a year-to-date (YTD) basis in 2026, according to NSE data.

In contrast, the company shares have risen 0.7% in the last one month, and were up more than 3% in the last five market sessions on the stock exchange.

Shares of Vedanta Aluminium surged to their 52-week high of ₹537 on June 15, 2026, while the 52-week low was at ₹423.15 on July 22, 2026. The company’s market capitalisation (m-cap) was at over ₹1.78 lakh crore as of the stock market close on Thursday, July 30, 2026.
