V-Mart Retail Q2 results: V-Mart Retail on Monday, November 10, reported a narrowing of its net loss to ₹8.87 crore in the second quarter of the 2025-26 financial year (Q2Y26), bolstered by rising retail trade revenue.

The company had logged a net loss of ₹56.51 crore in the corresponding period last year, it said in a regulatory filing.

During the quarter under review, its revenue from operations surged 22.07% year-on-year (YoY) to ₹806.87 crore, compared to ₹660.97 crore in the September quarter of the 2024-25 fiscal year (Q2FY25).

Segment-wise, its revenue from the retail trade business stood at ₹800.32 crore, reflecting a 23.02% YoY increase from ₹650.57 crore in the year-ago period. However, its revenue from the digital marketplace segment declined 33.07% annually to ₹8.48 crore for Q2FY26, as against ₹12.67 crore in the same period a year ago.

V-Mart Retail’s total expenses in the second quarter of the current fiscal year stood at ₹823.91 crore, marking a 14.32% YoY jump from ₹720.73 crore in Q2FY25, it added.

At an operational level, its EBITDA (earnings before interest, tax, depreciation, and amortisation), also known as operating profit, advanced 85.16% annually to ₹71.51 crore in the September quarter of FY26, as against ₹38.62 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal year.

Its EBITDA margin expanded to 9% during the reporting quarter, from 6% in the second quarter of FY25.

V-Mart Retail share performance

Shares of V-Mart Retail closed 4.37% lower at ₹781.95 apiece on the National Stock Exchange (NSE) on Monday. Intra-day, it fell as much as 9.66% to ₹738.65 per equity share, after the company reported its second-quarter results for FY26.

The stock has lost more than 7% over the past five days and above 8% over the month. It has declined a little over 10% in the last six months. On a year-to-date basis, it has slipped about 20%.
