Siemens Energy India shares rally over 5% after 36% YoY jump in March quarter profit

Shares of Siemens Energy India have rallied nearly 12% since its listing on June 19. In the quarter ending March 2025, the company reported strong results across the board. The total revenue for the quarter jumped 57% YoY to ₹1,879 crore.

The power transmission business grew 67% YoY to ₹1,037 crore.

Siemens Energy India, a wholly owned subsidiary of Siemens Ltd, reported its March 2025 results on Monday afternoon. Shares of the company closed 3% higher at ₹3,001 apiece on the NSE.

The company’s standalone revenue for the quarter ended March 2025 stood at ₹1,879 crore as compared to ₹1,196 crore in the previous year’s similar quarter. The sharp increase in revenue was driven by a 67.7% YoY jump in the power transmission segment to ₹1,013 crore and a 46% YoY jump in the power generation segment to ₹865 crore, as compared to ₹591 crore.

On the operational front, the EBITDA (Earnings before Interest, taxes, Depreciation and amortisation) jumped 59% YoY to ₹577 crore as compared to ₹361 crore in the previous year’s similar quarter. This was primarily due to strong revenue growth and a drop in interest expenses.

Lastly, the net profit for the quarter jumped 36% YoY to ₹246 crore as against ₹180.6 crore in the previous year’s similar quarter. Siemens Energy India is a wholly owned subsidiary of Siemens Ltd, which is one of India’s largest multinational corporations. The company was demerged from its parent company and listed separately on June 19, 2025.

The company’s revenue is derived from two key segments, namely, power generation and transmission.The Company aims to be a pure play energy company along the energy technology and service value chain with a comprehensive and differentiated product portfolio of solutions and services

Shares of the company have gained nearly 12% since its listing on the bourses on June 19.
