RIL Q3 earnings: Reliance Industries telecom arm Reliance Jio reported a 13% year-on-year (YoY) increase in gross revenue at ₹43,683 crore on Friday, January 16, for the third quarter of the current financial year (Q3 FY26) as compared to ₹38,750 seen in the same quarter previous fiscal year.

Its revenue from operations stood at ₹37,262 crore in Q3 FY26, up from ₹33,074 crore in the corresponding quarter of FY25, registering a growth of 13%.

The growth in operating revenue (net of GST) was driven by robust subscriber addition, ARPU growth and the scale-up of digital services, Reliance Jio said in a statement.

The Akash Ambani-led firm’s profit after tax grew 11.2% YoY to ₹7,629 crore as against ₹6,861 crore in Q3 FY25.

On the operation level, the company’s earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortisation (EBITDA) for the quarter were at ₹19,303 crore, marking a 16.4% growth YoY from ₹16,585 crore, driven by higher revenue and margin improvement.

The EBITDA margin for Q3 FY26 advanced 170 basis points (bps) and stood at 51.8%, in contrast to 50.1% YoY, led by higher ARPU and operating leverage.

In the reporting period, average revenue per user (ARPU) increased ₹213.7 per month as against ₹203.3 per month on a yearly basis on higher customer engagement, partly offset by promotional offers for unlimited 5G and Fixed Broadband services.

Reliance Jio said per capita data consumption stood at 40.7 GB per month, while total data traffic grew 34% year-on-year during Q3 FY26. The company added that monthly churn remained stable at 1.8%, with net subscriber additions of 8.9 million in the quarter.

“Jio’s over 500 million subscriber base, deep customer insights and pan India distribution network will empower Reliance Intelligence to achieve its aim to make India not just AI-enabled but AI-empowered - where every citizen and enterprise can harness AI tools to create, innovate and grow. This will drive sustained value creation for all stakeholders in the coming years,” said Akash M Ambani, Chairman of Reliance Jio Infocomm.

The company further said its total 5G subscriber base reached 25.3 crore as of December 2025, with 5G accounting for around 53% of total wireless traffic, driven by rising customer engagement.

In the reporting quarter, Jio launched the Jio-Gemini offer and expanded eligibility for all unlimited 5G users. Every eligible user would get free access to 18-month subscription of Gemini Pro plan valued at ₹35,100.
