On Monday, food delivery app Zomato reported a 57.2% decline in its net profit to ₹59 crore in the December quarter of FY25, compared to profit after tax of ₹138 crore in the year-ago period.

Revenue from operations surged 64.38% to ₹5,045 crore in the quarter under review, compared to ₹3,288 crore in the same period last fiscal year.

The company's quick commerce business Blinkit posted a 117.23% jump in revenue to ₹1,399 crore, compared to ₹644 crore revenue a year back. However, its net loss stood at ₹103 crore.

"The losses in our quick commerce business this quarter are largely on account of pulling forward the growth investments in the business that we would have otherwise made in a staggered manner over the next few quarters," Deepinder Goyal, the CEO of Zomato, said.
