Bata India shares surge 8.5% to its intraday high of ₹759.75 apiece during Wednesday's trading session, in comparison to ₹699.85 apiece at the previous equity market close, according to NSE data. Investors were reacting to the shoemaking company's performance in the April to June quarter (Q1) earnings report for the financial year 2026-27.

The company's net profits advanced 23% YoY to ₹64 crore, from ₹52 crore in the same period a year earlier, according to the consolidated financial statements. The data also showed that the company margins were in pressure but the revenues rose 4% in the period under review.

Rail Vikas Nigam Ltd shares were trading 0.4% lower at around ₹229.01 apiece on Wednesday's market, compared to ₹230 apiece at the previous equity market close, according to NSE data.

Although the shares opened nearly 1% higher, during the morning market hours, the company's stock declined losing its early gains.

Investors will be focused on monitoring key stocks like Tata Motors, Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd (HAL), Lenskart, IRCTC, Grasim Industries, Apollo Hospitals Enterprises, GMR Airports, Abbott India, are set to release their April to June quarter earnings report on August 12.

Other major companies in focus are Gujarat Fluorochemicals Limited, Aditya Infotech, Petronet LNG, IRCTC, Astral, Sun TV Network, VA Tech Wabag, Kirloskar Industries, HG Infra Engineering, among several others are set to release their Q1 earnings report on Wednesday.

More than 500 companies are set to release their Q1 earnings on Wednesday, August 12, 2026, as investors focus on analysing the corporate trend amid the supply chain disruption in the June quarter and the ongoing West Asia conflict.
