Polycab Q4 results: Net profit rises 29% YoY to ₹553 crore, dividend announced

Polycab India Limited’s profit after tax (PAT) for FY24 witnessed a remarkable 41% year-on-year (YoY) growth, to stand at ₹18,029 crore. Revenue from operations also grew 28% YoY to ₹1,80,39.4 crore in FY24 as against ₹1,41,07.8 crore in FY23.

Polycab is the largest manufacturer of wires and cables in India.

Wires and cables manufacturer Polycab India Limited reported a 29% increase in its consolidated net profit to ₹553.4 crore in the fourth quarter, which ended on March 31, 2024. In the year-ago period, its net profit was ₹428.7 crore.

The company's revenue from operations stood at ₹5,591.8 crore in Q4 FY24 from ₹4,323.6 crore in the same period last year, reflecting a 29.3% increase year-on-year (YoY).

Polycab announces dividend

The company's board has announced a dividend of ₹30 per equity share of ₹10 face value each for the financial year 2023-24, subject to shareholders' approval.

EBITDA grew 35% YoY to ₹24,91.8 crore in financial year 2023-24 from ₹18,42.9 crore in FY23. Margins improved by 70 basis points to 13.8%, the company said in a regulatory filing.

Profit after tax (PAT) for the last fiscal witnessed a remarkable 41% YoY growth, to stand at ₹18,029 crore. Revenue from operations also grew 28% YoY to ₹1,80,39.4 crore in FY24 as against ₹1,41,07.8 crore in FY23.

Inder Jaisinghani, Chairman and Managing Director of Polycab India, said, "The year gone by has been truly exceptional for our company, marked by remarkable achievements fuelled by robust demand momentum. This resulted in the company achieving its highest-ever revenues and profitability in its history.”

He added, “This outstanding performance is a direct result of our steadfast focus over the years on key areas such as expanding our distribution network, enhancing manufacturing capabilities, and striving for operational and organizational excellence".

Meanwhile, the shares of Polycab India were trading 4.4% higher at ₹6,062 on the NSE.
