PFC Q1 result: Power Finance Corporation (PFC) on Wednesday, August 6, reported a 23.87% year-on-year (YoY) surge in its consolidated net profit to ₹6,866 crore in the first quarter of the 2025-26 financial year (Q1FY26).

In the corresponding period a year ago, the company had clocked a profit of ₹5,543 crore, PFC said in a regulatory filing.

During the quarter under review, the PSU's net interest income (NII) surged 26% YoY to ₹5,469 crore, as against ₹4,328 crore in the June quarter of FY25.

Board declares ₹3.7 per share interim dividend

The board of directors of PFC also declared the first interim dividend of ₹3.7 per equity share with a face value of ₹10 each for the current fiscal year, at a 37% rate.

The board fixed August 18, 2025, as the record date for the interim dividend.

During the previous quarter (Q4FY25), the company’s board had recommended a final dividend of ₹2.05 per equity share with a face value of ₹10 each for the FY25, subject to the approval of the shareholders at the ensuing Annual General Meeting (AGM).

PFC stock performance

Shares of PFC were trading 0.24% higher at ₹414.50 apiece on the National Stock Exchange (NSE), at around 2:44 pm.

Following the result announcement, the stock surged 1.53% to an intra-day high of ₹419.80 per equity share. The scrip lost 2.71% over the previous week but gained 1.09% since the beginning of August. The stock rose 3.17% in the first quarter of FY26 but fell 7.65% on a year-to-date basis.

While the maharatna company’s share fell to a 52-week low of ₹357.25 on February 17, 2025, it reached a year’s high of ₹566.40 apiece on September 5, 2024.

PFC has a total market capitalisation of ₹1.37 lakh crore, as of August 6, 2025, as per data on the NSE.
