Hindustan Zinc's share price traded over 3% higher in closing hours on Monday after a sharp rally in silver prices and ahead of the company’s Q3 results. The company posted a strong set of results for the Q3FY26, with the silver segment witnessing double-digit growth.

On the topline front, Hindustan Zinc’s consolidated total revenue from operations for the Q3FY26 jumped 27.4% YoY to ₹10,980 crore as against ₹8,614 crore in the same period last year. On the other hand, the company’s core revenue from operations jumped 27.8% YoY and 28.3% QoQ to ₹10,627 crore.

The topline growth was partially driven by 82.5% YoY jump in the silver segment revenue at ₹2,676 crore as against ₹1,465 crore. While the core Zinc, lead and others segment witnessed 16.1% YoY jump in revenue at ₹7,932 crore. Silver prices have jumped nearly 52% in the global markets in Q3FY26 and continued to rally further. Silver segment contributed more than 25% in the quarter as compared to 17% in the previous year’s same quarter.

At the operating level, the company’s EBITDA (Earnings before interest and taxes, depreciation and amortisation) jumped 35% YoY to ₹5,701 crore as against ₹4,200 crore in the same period last year. Similarly, the company’s EBIT margin for the quarter stood at 47% vs 42% in the same period last year and the previous quarter.

Lastly, the net profit for the quarter jumped 46% YoY to ₹3916 crore as compared to ₹2678 crore in the same period last year. The company recorded the impact of the new labour codes implementation since November 2025, worth ₹31 crore.

Hindustan Zinc's share price has jumped 44% in the last year and 27% in Q3FY26 on the back of the global rally in precious metals like silver.
