Hindustan Copper Q3 Earnings: Hindustan Copper, the Miniratna Category-I CPSE under the Ministry of Mines, on Thursday, February 5, reported a 148.49% rise in its consolidated net profit at ₹156 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2025 (Q3 FY26).

The company, which is India's only vertically integrated copper producer, had reported a PAT of ₹62.87 crore in the year-ago period.

Its revenue from operations came in at ₹687.34 crore, up 109.7% against ₹327.77 crore logged in the December quarter of FY25.

Total income stood at ₹705.31 crore, up 105.28% against ₹343.57 crore seen in the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal year.

Hindustan Copper declares interim dividend for FY26

Hindustan Copper on Friday said its board has approved an interim dividend of ₹1 per equity share, representing 20% of the face value of ₹5 each, for the financial year 2025–26.

The company has fixed Friday, February 13, 2026, as the record date to determine shareholders eligible for the dividend. The payout will be made through electronic mode on or before Friday, March 6, 2026, the company said.

Hindustan Copper shares ended 0.27% lower at ₹612 apiece on the NSE. The numbers were declared during the fag end of the trading session.

About Hindustan Copper

Hindustan Copper Limited (HCL) is a Schedule ‘A’ Mini-Ratna, Category-I Central Public Sector Enterprise (CPSE) under the administrative control of the Ministry of Mines.

Incorporated in 1967 under the Indian Companies Act, 1956, HCL is the only company in India engaged in copper ore mining and holds all the operating mining leases for copper ore in the country.

The company's current focus lies in the exploration, mining, and beneficiation of copper ore to produce and sell copper concentrate. HCL operates copper mines at Malanjkhand (Madhya Pradesh), Khetri (Rajasthan) and Ghatsila (Jharkhand).

It has facilities of a primary smelter and refinery at Ghatsila (Jharkhand), secondary smelter and refining facilities at Jhagadia (Gujarat), and a continuous cast copper wire rod plant at Taloja (Maharashtra).

Operations at the Jhagadia and Ghatsila smelting/refining facilities have been suspended since 2019 due to business considerations. The operations at the Taloja plant are currently limited to third-party tolling activities.

Financials in FY24-25

In the financial year FY 2024-25, the company earned a profit before tax (PBT) of ₹633.52 crore against a net sales turnover of Rs. 2048.11 crore.

For the six months ending Sept’ 2025, the company achieved a PBT of ₹427.99 crore against a net sales turnover of ₹1,216.19 crore.

The company has been consistently distributing dividends to its shareholders since FY 2020–21.
