HAL Q3 results: State-run aerospace and defence company Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) reported a 14.13% increase in its consolidated profit after tax (PAT) to ₹1,439.79 crore in the third quarter of the current fiscal.
In the year-ago period, the net profit was ₹1,261.51 crore.
Revenue from operations advanced 14.78% to ₹6,957.31 crore in the latest October-December quarter, compared to ₹6,061.28 crore in the corresponding period last fiscal.
Earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortisation (EBITDA) rose 17.2% to ₹1,681 crore in the quarter ended December 2024 as against ₹1,434 crore in Q3 FY24. The EBITDA margin was at 24.2% vs 23.7% a year back.
Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd declared an interim dividend of ₹25 per equity share. The record date has been fixed as February 18.
The dividend will be paid to all the eligible shareholders by March 14, 2025.
Following earnings, HAL shares were trading in negative territory. At 2:20 p.m., the stock was down 1.96% to ₹3,577.75 apiece on the NSE.
The market capitalisation of the company stands at ₹2,39,287.70 crore.
On the BSE, the stock declined ₹71.20 or 1.95% to ₹43,576.80 a unit.
HAL is a 'Maharatna' public sector undertaking (PSU) under the Defence Ministry of the Government of India. The state-run firm designs and manufactures helicopters, fighter jets, jet engines, and marine gas turbine engines.
In December, the Defence Ministry signed a ₹13,500 crore contract with HAL for the procurement of 12 Su-30 MKI aircraft and associated equipment.
"The aircraft would have an indigenous content of 62.6%, enhanced due to indiginisation of many components to be manufactured by Indian defence industry. These aircraft would be manufactured at Nasik division of HAL. The supply of these aircraft would enhance operational capability of Indian Air Force and strengthen defence preparedness of the country," the company said in an exchange filing.
