Greaves Cotton reported a robust growth increase in its consolidated net profit of 230% to ₹33.09 crore for the quarter ending June 30, 2025. Its net profit for Q1 FY25 was at ₹10.32 crore. Sequentially, its net profit has jumped 37.5%.

The company’s revenue from operations stood at ₹745 crore during the quarter under review as compared to ₹640 crore in the same quarter last fiscal year, marking an increase of 16.4% year-on-year (YoY).

The engineering company’s operating profit, also known as earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortisation (EBITDA) for Q1 FY25, grew 102% to ₹57 crore as against ₹28 crore seen in the corresponding quarter the previous year.

Its margin also improved to 7.6% from an earlier 4.4% YoY.

Management changes

Greaves Cotton appointed Jehangir Ardeshir as an Additional Director (Non-Executive, Independent Director) for a period of 5 years with effect from August 1, 2025, as recommended by the nomination and remuneration committee and subject to approval of the shareholders.

Ardeshir currently serves as an independent director at Cyient DLM Limited, Walchand PeopleFirst Limited, Premium Transmission Limited, and Premium Care Private Limited.

He is an alumnus of IIT, Kharagpur (1981), and IIM, Bangalore (1983), and began his career in 1983 in the Tata Administrative Service of the Tata Group, starting at Tata Steel, where he spent 17 years and rose to the position of Principal Executive Officer.

Thereafter, he was CEO of Tata Quality Management Services (a Tata Sons division), president of Tata Teleservices Private Limited, president and MD of Terex India Private Limited, and group CEO of Forbes Marshall.

Further, Firdose Vandrevala has resigned as Independent Director of the firm, with effect from the close of business hours on October 14, 2025, just before attaining the 75 years of age as mentioned in the resignation letter.

Vandrevala has confirmed that there are no material reasons for his resignation other than those mentioned in his resignation letter, the company said in a statement.
