GMR Airports Infrastructure on Wednesday reported a net loss of ₹168 crore for the fourth quarter of the financial year 2024 compared to a net loss of ₹639 crore in the corresponding period last year. The company’s consolidated revenue from operations grew by 29.48% year-on-year (YoY) to ₹2,447 crore. Shares of GMR Airports Infrastructure were trading lower by 3.45% on Thursday afternoon.

The company’s earnings before interest, tax, depreciation, and amortisation (EBITDA) surged 160% YoY to ₹940.3 crore during the quarter. The EBITDA margin came in at 48% during the quarter as compared to 25% in the same period of the previous fiscal.

For the financial year ending on March 31, 2024, the company’s net loss reduced to ₹829 crore compared to a net loss of ₹848 crore last year. GMR Airports Infrastructure’s revenue from operation in FY24 saw a growth of 31.17% YoY to ₹8,755 crore.

The company’s EBITDA for the financial year rose 48.55% YoY to ₹3,418 crore with the EBITDA margin expanded to 50% compared to last year’s 43%.

GMR Airports Infrastructure saw an 8% YoY growth in traffic at its Delhi airport to 1.92 crore passengers (pax). The traffic at the Hyderabad airport grew 13.4% YoY to 65 lakh pax while the Goa airport saw a surge of 102% YoY to 13.4 lakh pax.

The company reported that major steps have been taken towards the completion of the merger of GMR Airports with GMR Airports Infrastructure. The merger is expected to be completed by the first quarter of FY25.

The ongoing expansion of the Delhi, Hyderabad, and Mopa (Goa) airports is expected to be completed within FY25. Additionally, the firm intends to accelerate the progress in greenfield projects in Crete and Bhogapuram.

Shares of the company have risen by nearly 4% since the beginning of the year. The stock has gained over 106% in the last one year.
