Ethos shares rally over 10% after Q4 PAT grows 58% YoY to ₹21 crore

Shares of Ethos Ltd, a leading luxury watch retailer, rallied more than 10% to trade at an intra-day high of ₹2,547 on the NSE on Tuesday, May 14, after the company reported strong growth in net profit in the quarter ended March 2024.

The stock closed at ₹2,425 apiece, up 4.8%.

In the fourth quarter of FY24, Ethos’ revenue from operations grew by 21.7% to ₹252.5 crore from ₹207.6 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal year. The revenue from operations fell quarter-on-quarter by more than 10% from ₹281 crore in the December quarter. The revenue from operations grew by 26.7% year-on-year to ₹999 crore in FY24 from ₹788.5 crore in FY23.

Ethos Ltd’s EBITDA (Earnings Before Interest, Depreciation and Amortisation) grew by 28.5% year-on-year to ₹50.8 crore from ₹39.5 crore in the fourth quarter of FY24. In FY24, the company’s EBITDA grew by 33% to ₹130.9 crore from ₹98.5 crore in FY23.

In the fourth quarter of FY24, Ethos’ EBITDA margin grew by 80 bps (basis points) to 17.7% from 16.9% in the preceding fiscal year. In FY24, the EBITDA margin grew by 51 bps to 17.2% from 16.7% in the preceding fiscal year.

Ethos Ltd’s PAT (Profit After Tax) grew by nearly 58% in the fourth quarter of FY24 to ₹21 crore from ₹13.3 crore in the same quarter of the preceding fiscal year. Ethos’ PAT dropped by 16% on a quarter-on-quarter basis from ₹25.51 crore in the December quarter. In FY24, the PAT grew by 38.1% to ₹83.3 crore in FY24 compared to ₹60.3 crore in FY23.
