The company had posted a net profit of ₹120.96 crore in the April-June period a year ago, according to a regulatory filing.

Its revenue from operations grew 13.27% to ₹3,377.92 crore in Q1 FY27, compared to ₹2,982 crore in the year-ago period.

Total expenses increased 15.51% to ₹3,273 crore in the June quarter.

On the operational level, the company's EBITDA (earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation) stood at ₹175 crore, reflecting a decline of 1.53% from ₹120.96 crore in Q1 FY26. The EBITDA margin was at 5.18% vs 6.71% a year back.

In the quarter, the company said it faced multiple headwinds, including an unprecedented escalation in commodity prices calling for hike in selling prices, the delayed start and abrupt end of the summer season, and a significant inventory pile-up of old Room ACs in the trade.

"A key positive was the strong inflow of Data Centre MEP project orders, reflecting the sustained momentum in this highgrowth segment," the firm said in an exchange filing.

Blue Star's carried-forward order book as of June 2026, grew by 13.5% to ₹7.764.38 crore, as compared to ₹6,843.04 crores as of June 30, 2025.

Commenting on earnings and sharing outlook, Vir S Advani, Chairman & Managing Director, Blue Star Limited, said, "We will remain focused on controlling operating costs and maintaining a strong balance sheet. While the medium-term fundamentals of the HVAC&R industry remain strong, the ongoing conflict in West Asia and the resulting market uncertainties warrant a cautious outlook for the remainder of the financial year."
