Bharat Dynamics Q2 results: Net profit soars 76% to ₹216 crore; revenue rises two-fold

Bharat Dynamics Q2 results: Bharat Dynamics on Thursday, November 13, reported a 76.19% year-on-year (YoY) surge in its net profit to ₹216 crore for the second quarter of the 2025-26 financial year (Q2FY26).

In the corresponding period a year earlier, it had clocked a profit of ₹122.53 crore, it said in a regulatory filing.

Sequentially, it marked a steep jump in profit, which was at ₹18 crore in the first quarter of the current FY26.

The defence PSU’s revenue from operations increased a little over two-fold annually to ₹1,147 crore during the quarter under review, compared to ₹545 crore in the September quarter of the 2024-25 fiscal year (Q2FY25). In the quarter-ago period, its revenue was at ₹247.93 crore.

Its EBITDA (earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation), also known as operating profit, stood at ₹188 crore in the second quarter of FY26, marking a 90% YoY growth from ₹99 crore in the year-ago period.

In the June FY26 quarter, the state-owned firm had posted an EBITDA loss of ₹45 crore.

The PSU’s EBITDA margin contracted by approximately 10 basis points (bps) YoY to 16.35% during the reporting quarter, in contrast to 18.14% in Q2FY25.

Shares of Bharat Dynamics closed 1.07% lower at ₹1,516 apiece on the National Stock Exchange (NSE). Intra-day, it declined as much as 1.47% to a low of ₹1,510 apiece. However, the results were declared after the market closed.

The stock has advanced nearly 7% over the past five days and 0.4% over the month. It, however, lost more than 13% in the last six months. On a year-to-date basis, it has soared approximately 34%.

While the scrip reached a 52-week high of ₹2,096.60 on May 30, 2025, it touched a year’s low of ₹890 per equity share on November 18, 2024.

Bharat Dynamics has a total market capitalization of ₹55,570.88 crore, as of November 13, 2025, according to data on the NSE.
