BEML posts Q1 net loss of ₹64 crore vs ₹70.5 crore a year back, revenue marginally down

BEML shares were trading higher after the company posted its latest set of numbers for the first quarter of the financial year 2025-26 on Monday, August 11.

The company reported a consolidated net loss of ₹64.11 crore for the first quarter of FY2025-26, compared to a loss of ₹70.47 crore in the same period last year.

Revenue from operations saw a slight dip to ₹633.99 crore in Q1 FY26 from ₹634.08 crore a year earlier. BEML also posted an EBITDA loss of ₹49 crore during the quarter, lower than the ₹50.1 crore loss recorded in the year-ago quarter.

BEML reported quarterly revenue unchanged at ₹634 crore, against expectations of a 9% year-on-year rise to ₹689 crore. Sequentially, the topline has fallen by over 60%.

On Saturday, BEML secured its first overseas order in the Rail and Metro segment from Malaysia for the Retrofit and Reconditioning of the Mass Rapid Transport System, valued at $1 million.

The company announced another order worth ₹1,880 crore from the Integral Coach Factory for manufacturing LHB coaches on Monday, August 11.

Following the results, shares of BEML erased early gains and traded in the red but rebounded after the order announcement.

Shares of BEML have closed 2.22% higher at ₹3,945 apiece on the NSE. The stock has fallen nearly 2% in the last 5 days, and 10.93% in the last month.
