Ami Organics up 4% after Q4 revenue rises 21% to ₹225 crore

Ami Organics on Saturday announced a 4.2% year-on-year basis (YoY) decline in its net profit for the fourth quarter at ₹26 crore. The company’s revenue from operations increased by 20.7% YoY to ₹225 crore. Shares of Ami Organics were up nearly 4% on Monday.

The company’s earnings before interest, tax, depreciation, and amortisation (EBITDA) for the quarter increased by 5.9% YoY to ₹43.2 crore. EBITDA margin came in at 19.2% for the quarter as compared to 21.9% in the same period of the previous fiscal.

For the fiscal year 2024, the firm’s net profit declined by 3% to ₹80.8 crore. The firm clarified that its net profit and profit margin are adjusted for exceptional items that include full impairment of investment in its joint venture (JV) - Ami Onco-Theranostics LLC. Meanwhile, its revenue from operations for FY24 stood at ₹717.5 crore, registering an increase of 16.3% YoY.

The company’s EBITDA for the year increased 4.8% YoY to ₹128.5 crore. The EBITDA margin for the fiscal contracted to 17.9% from 19.9% in the previous fiscal.

The board of directors approved a final dividend of ₹3 per share.

Naresh Patel, executive chairman and managing director of Ami Organics, said the company has received three new process patents from The Patent Office, Government Of India. “Overall, I believe that we have navigated industry challenges adeptly in FY24 and as we progress ahead with improved overall prospects for the industry, we firmly believe we will sustain our growth trajectory, targeting a revenue growth in the range of 20-25% for the fiscal year FY25,” he said.

Shares of Ami Organics have risen over 9% since the start of the year. The stock has risen over 10% in the last one year.
