Gold price on December 5: Check 22k and 24k gold rate in Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata and Chennai

Gold prices slipped by ₹20 per 10 grams in major Indian cities in a restricted trade on Thursday, December 5, in line with the yellow metal’s movement in global markets.

Gold prices moved in a tight range in global markets following a firm dollar and US Fed chair Jerome Powell’s comments that the central bank would be cautious while deciding on the monetary policy as inflation was still stickier. Weak demand in local markets also kept a lid on the gold prices.

Spot gold slipped 0.09% to $2,647 an ounce in early Asian trade. In overnight trade, the metal moved between $2,644 and $2,651 an ounce.

In Delhi markets, 24K gold prices dropped by ₹20 to ₹77,920 per 10 grams and 22K gold by ₹20 to ₹71,440 per 10 grams. The 24K Gold in Mumbai rose to ₹77,770 per 10 grams and 22K gold by ₹20 to ₹71,290 per 10 grams.

Silver Price Today in India (December 5, 2024)

Silver prices moved in a tight range and traded flat at ₹90,900 per kg in major Indian cities in early trade on Wednesday. Some demand from local industries supported the white metal while weak global trends capped the gains.

Spot silver dropped 0.20% to $31.23 an ounce in global markets. In overnight trade, the metal hit a high of $31.42 an ounce and a low of $31.14 an ounce.
